Hi,This is my first post on here and have loved reading replies, even the grumpy ones.We are looking at moving (hopefully some time in 2022) for 3 months to see if Bali is where we want to live, going forward. Can anyone please give me an update on the wearing of masks policies, are they compulsory? even on the beach??And before Mr Grumpy replies, I already searched 'Masks' and the latest post was from Sept 2021 and google has been no help. thank you.

What with new mutations and changes by the day I think one has to accept that mask wearing will be around for some time. Many vendors at the beaches do wear masks and some do not. What with swimming and eating there is probably less mask wearing at the beaches than elsewhere. However the beaches tend not to be crowded except later afternoons which is when locals prefer to go to the beach. But everything is in a state of flux as is the case with quarantining requirements.

I see many people still wearing them, but there are also many who never took mask wearing seriously. I think you are fine down on the beach.

Don't worry about beaches. They are like sex after marriage - it really trails off after the nuptials as does visiting the beach once you live here. Do not even think of living on the beach! That dream lasts even shorter than the day trip frequency. Think sand and salt everywhere and always! with all your possessions rotting away as you watch.
