Hit up PT Visa Bali in Balangan area and ask for Rolly. He'll take care of you. he's a legend in these parts
Really appreciate this information, and wonder what exactly is meant by appointed? My. reason for asking is because it came to my attention that there are a number of agents familiar to me that aren't listed, and also that most if not all on the list from Bali seem to be in Denpasar and noticed one from Sanur.

I'm sure all the one's on this list are completely fine but the guy I mentioned earlier is legit as it gets. He'll get you in or out of any situation you find yourself in. He's one of those 'do it all' guys and he doesn't play any dirty, illegal tricks like some of the agents I know. He's 100% by the books. Ask any visa agent in South Bali and they all look up to Rolly and probably have modeled their business after him. He's the King of the Bali visa industry.

They are known as appointed/approved agents. I have been told to be careful who you use as you cannot change their sponsorship. If you leave them you have to start again from scratch. I am aware many agents say they do retirement visas. They would have to go through one of the "approved", probably resulting in a higher cost. Most of what I am saying has been seen on various facebook groups and info from friends. I am happy to be corrected if this is not accurate.

The list from Spicyayam is correct. Only those companies have the licence to sponsor retirement visas, however many other agents (like Rolly from Visa4Bali as mentioned), use one of these agents as the sponsor and are able to process the retirement Kitas for you. The limited amount of sponsors is why the price is so high for a retirement Kitas. Oh, and it makes no difference if you approach one of the "authorised sponsors" directly, because the price will be the same. I attempted to go down that path previously.

Does it mean that something new is going to be launched while these sadists continue to milk us? Whatever it is surely can't be with our best interests in mind.

I don't know about the extensions to Retirement Kitas, however there is talk in government circles about replacing the Retirement Kitas with a new "2nd Home Visa" or "Rumah Kedua". So far, it's just talk and some of the conditions are fairly onerous, but who knows if it will come to pass. Some info about the proposal here:Kompas - Long-Term Visa

I have a one year extension on my retirement visa which otherwise would have ended in 2021.
