Hi guysAny recent information on entering Bali through Jakarta. I read a couple of posts where guys got through. I'm 60 and considering trying to spend a month or so in Bali but must be back here for 1st May inclusive of 2 weeks quarantine. Alternately, apply for the girlfriend to come here as a sponsored visitor visa, same as we did last year. Rock and a hard place.

Another complicating factor is the Australian government's limit on the number of overseas arrivals. There has been a number of people who have paid for the Covid tests and then had the flight cancelled so that the tests have had to be done again. Difficult times and no simple ways of resolving your problem

Rock and a hard place.[/QUOTE]The most recent information is that at least until 8th February, no foreigners may enter Indonesia unless they have Kitas or Kitap (ie residence permits). This is being strictly enforced. And, if virus numbers do not decrease significantly before then, the ban is likely to be extended (in two week increments, as the authorities here tend to do)..

I think i remember reading that they have stopped evisa for the time being cant remember if c319 was included in this...I dont think you will get out of oz unless its for 3 months minimum. so if you have to be back in May inclusive of quarentine is going to be tight

You must come to Indonesia to complete the Kitas procedures (you do not get Kitas from an overseas application, only a sort of pre-approval that must be processed here in person) and at the moment only those who [U]already[/U] have Kitas (temporary residence permit) or Kitap (permanent residence permit) are allowed into Indonesia.

I usually live between Perth and Bali, staying in Bali as long as the visa I am on lets me, 6 months maybe even 1 year seems a lot is possible now if already here. I would definitely not be coming here if you need to be back on a fixed dates, with the border locks flights have become infrequent and unstable. Not saying you can't get back, but expect delays, pushed out/cancelled flights almost definitely. +$3000 AUD to hotel quarantine in Australia is also off-putting.
