Biznet opened an office recently in the north and they said they will have a service running to Lovina in the next 2 months. It's available already in Singaraja. The tv package will be available next year. The home price is 300,000 a month up to 50Mpbs. We may need to keep Indihome for our telephone and tv for now, but thinking of changing to the cheapest service. It is just good to have more options and I am sure their support is better than IH. I believe they don't shutdown for Nyepi and don't block site and services like Netflix.

Rp 300,000 for up to 50Mpbs [sic] (I think you meant Mbps). Sounds too good to be true.I saw a pamphlet of theirs here in Sanur recently which startled me a bit because it seemed to be too cheap (as in too inexpensive).None of the TV packages had Australia Plus (or Australia Live), but that wasn't a deal-breaker for me.I'm not a Home & Away addict. I'm already away from "home" but I'd miss being able to watch the occasional AFL game.(Without having to go to another bloody "Sports Bar".)Also noticed a Biznet office on the Sanur ByPass.Haven't yet been able to test the deal for myself because Biznet doesn't have fibre optic cables where I live. Some other mob came scrambling down our lane lately to install their own poles.I was forced to take note because one of the poles nearly toppled onto our front gate, and my head, as I wasventuring out to a small nearby bar for a tequila.About a year ago, a restaurant I frequent on the main drag of Sanur had a Biznet account. It was OK, when it was working.I don't think it was fibre. They finally gave up with Biznet and went back to IndiHome.Maybe this latest offering will be better.Meanwhile, the head honchos in Sanur are promising free wifi for all. (They said something like that a while ago and nothing came of it.)The new governor of Bali has promised to roll out free wifi across the whole island. That'll be a hoot (if it happens).

Well he did say a couple of times "up to" which of course covers ISPs from these claims. Actually I am happy with Indihome, but keen to try another company to see if it is better. He said the download was the same as the upload, which would make it better than Indihome. Their office is just down the road from us which is good from a customer support perspective, but actually we have only a couple of days of downtime from Indihome. Last time I was in Australia, the internet was horrible and went out a few times at my mum's place. They also offered a dedicated line for 5 million a month where they guaranteed speed/service...Just saw this on fb : Leave Biznet. The worst internet provider in Bali from our experience. No service, no one picks up a call when you ring... Don't waste your money or time any more , go find another provider.

That implies that it's a symmetric connection which is definitely better but usually costs more. The "up to" part on a symmetric connection is related to how many customers Biznet's got using that package at the same time. (I think.)Regardless, Rp300,00/month for "50Mbps") sounds like a good deal, if they can deliver it consistently.I've read quite a few complaints from Biznet customers. All I can say is buyer beware.I go back to Australia every now and again. I've been astonished at what some of my friends there were paying for their internet for the speeds they were getting.Even the cheapest IndiHome 3-in-1 package makes them jealous.
