We are coming on Social visa in late January. Our friend in Bali has offered to sponcer us but reading on some agent sites it says the sponcer must go to immigration for each extension, this seems a bit much to ask him and I might be better then going with an agent.Does anyone know what the reality of this is?

I never experienced this, but it could be possible. Especially if are planning on doing multiple extensions. If your friend has work commitments then maybe they are not a good person to use. But then again if you are using an agent, then maybe the sponsor does not have to go with you. Maybe check with your agent. If you do it yourself, I wouldn't be surprised if they ask the sponsor to come for at least one of the extensions.

Definitely better to use an agent. You then only need to attend immigration one time in 180 days.

Hi Just reading through the Social Visa threads and was wondering if either of you would have a recommendation for an reputable agent that could help us with our 6 month visa?We plan to be in the country for 6 months with the hopes of purchasing a business while we are in the country and then wish to stay permanently.
