Do any of you here watch Indonesian television? I find them to be quite terrible, plenty of cringe worthy sinetron and talkshows. I'm considering to subscribe to cable TV provider like Transvision, they have basic package for Rp 200 ribu which is quite affordable. I'm after some good documentaries such as the ones from National Geographic, and unfortunately I can't find it from the local offerings.

Ya your right , indo tv is only good for local news, in my opinion.

Pretty much the affordable cable sucks as well,3 days before the Australian F1 they cut the Fox sports channels, called them up and they said the promo was finished, which is weird because we had Fox sports channels for the past 2 yrs,so I don't understand about the promo.and arguing with them is a waste of time, seems we just keep getting less for more

I've tried a number of Cable and Internet TV providers, all sucked, but been connected by 'sat' to Indovision for nearly a year and been reasonably happy. They have as many channels as you can afford. I'm not into sports/movies watching, more a news and comedy junkie, so we take the basic package which has content enough..... and the picture is really good. We have many TV's but am only connected to two...I believe three boxes are possible.Btw we pay a year in advance and they do change the content without asking, or adjusting the price, so check the annual discount...it may not be worth it compared with a monthly fee over which you have control...just a thought as I'm not sure what the rates are today.
