Roughly, this is the plan but I am not even sure if this can be done in 30 days.[LIST=1][*]Bali [*]South Sulawesi[*]Maluku (or any island in the group)[*]Pulau Banda (or any island in the group)[*]Papua (Agats/Asmat?) [*]Pulau Sumba [*]Back to Bali [/LIST]Maybe I need a year for this :) Any recommendations are welcome. No big city stuff and typical tourist traps.

Pelni is the state steamer company that connects all the islands.Some destinations have a two weekly connection,some more frequently.Check their website for more information.There are regular flights between Bali and Makassar and Ambon.Small planes from Ambon to Banda.Including Papua seems to be a little bit too much for 30 days,but will depend on how long you want to stay in the other destinations.Skyscanner.com is a good start for flights.

I went from Ambon to Saparua and return by a fast air-conditioned ferry. Saparua has an interesting restored Dutch Fort built during Colonial times.
