Spent the month of August in both London with a short trip up to the Midlands to Peterboroug and I can report it’s fecking cold there and the natives are untouched by low body temperatures and warm beer.
Prices are, as expected, huge and almost growing daily. I’m baffled how anyone can survive there on a normal person’s wages (approx 34k pounds/year). Most of the locals seem addicted to obscenely expensive coffees bought at ubiquitous (fecking everywhere) coffee shops and I can report one can grow heartily sick of the smell of fresh coffee.
Hardly saw any of the locals in my jaunt up North as everyone it banging away at 2 jobs to make ends even sort of meet. If you get fed up with Bali just spend a week or 2 in Europe and it will seem like heaven (warm heaven) when you gladly return.
Fam are great to see and I submit I have the 2 most beautiful, obedient, happy and healthy granddaughters on the planet.
See the Balipod has recovered in my absence (NOT).
