Ok "punishment fitting crime" - how long then? a day, a week, month, forever? As I said above french lady was raped for 10 years and didn't even notice until the day police told her they'd found hubbies photos and vids.

Figured I'd post something that's been going around in my head for while and half hoping to get banned from the forum so I don't need to worry if it's still working or not. Rape is a horrible crime. So is getting mugged, beaten up in a fight, knocked off a motorcycle in Denpasar or murdered by some crazy fanatic. We all agree on that I suspect? In all the crimes listed above society gives progressively serious punishments (depending upon the seriousness of injuries caused) EXCEPT FOR RAPE. People get 4 to 6 years for doing serious harm in muggings, bar fights, even if you cause a serious motorcycle accident where life changing injuries are caused, especially if you've had a weee drinky. Murder gets you 12 to 20 in the UK. I've been watching the Dominique Pelicot rape case in France and there the 50 defendants have all received between 5 and 20 years jail time and what shakes me is that after being regularly raped by crowds of perverts for nigh on 10 years [COLOR=rgb(184, 49, 47)][B]if the police hadn't told her she wouldn't have even known about it![/B][/COLOR] [COLOR=rgb(0, 0, 0)]If the punishment should fit the crime this can't be correct is it? I don't understand what you mean by how long then? I would think castration is permanent! If it was up to me. I would make it as painful as possible, in full public view! Then somehow make them have to work at something Angry Women, would find appropriate! Just giving them jail time, and then releasing them to potentially do this again is unacceptable to me! The justice system is so unbalanced. I remember people getting longer prison sentences for just growing, or using Marijuana!
