Hi Harryopal, It's always good to hear your comments! Yes when I was in the States I had the Medical insurance also. They paid for a very expensive surgery when I broke my femur bone in my leg. It was a very complicated surgery, they put a titanium rod all the way through the bone. All expense were covered and they did an excellent job. I also have BPJS now and yes it's affordable but I found they don't pay for quality medicine. Only low cost meds. I also found out from my Bali friend the Doctors and hospitals here have a different level for coverage if you pay cash or use BPJS. It seems if you use the insurance you are put at a lower level than if you pay cash, and get treated like lower class of people. That's a shame. I guess money talks and low class walks. It seems older people are not productive anymore, so we get tossed on the rubbish bin.
But also be aware ,if cash is available or insurance ,unnecessary procedures may take place , just like the USA , the hippocratic oath is not always followed. ,they tried with my wife, but doctor google saved the day . BS from a white coat , ,sad .
