I bring a heap of prescription medicines in every time I visit and have never had any issues. Nevertheless I always carry a letter from my Dr and/or one from my chemist.
As for the cost, which Markit has raised, as I quality for a part pension my scripts cost me about $7.20 each and once I reach a threshold of around $250 for the year all scripts listed on the PBS are free.
Same, I can get it over-the-counter here.
It is not really a "prescription" med per-se , but you can get it on a script as it is on the PBS, so costs $7.50 for 30 tabs, as opposed to the OTC which is $20 for 14 tabs.
So obviously I go for the script option !
