You don't make it clear if you intend to be present at your villa yourself, watch your security system online from the US or have a security guy there full time?
If you are going to be present full time yourself - get a dog.
If you will watch from the US you'll be able to at least wave at the burglars or - get a dog
If cameras, you and security guy - get a dog
You may suspect the course of my advise is to get a dog. I have 4, they accrue naturally here to people with pale skins, wanted or not, so it's best to "bite the bullet" and turn a necessity into a benefit and - get a dog.
Also they are the best security around - I feed mine successfully on chicken heads and reject rice from the local markets and they are doing great.
Remember: If you lock your wife and your dog in the trunk of your car which one do you think will be glad to see you after a couple of days?
It seems that old Dog Markit has some wisdom to offer - getting a dog is very much the best solution to security . . . you just need to be mindful of the poison meat over the wall technique sometimes used by the crims.
Long time moved on now but during the 5 years we lived in Umalas, reading weekly stories of daytime villa break-ins we experienced only 1 known attempt that was promptly repelled by team fido - they'd only made it half way down the road to our place before there presence was detected by dog inside house - loud barking = run forest run - quite remarkable!
For your cameras, based on my experience of local ISPs, you probably want to look at a cloud based solution (most work this way now) rather than an in-house server based configuration (older style) as CNAT is often in use ie Indihome meaning you can no longer easily connect into your home network from outside as you are no longer given a public IP address or rather you are for about 1 week before it transitions to a private one.
If you are serious about it you might also consider getting a UPS (a big battery back-up) and running your wifi and cameras on it so flipping your power breaker off doesn't disable your high tech security system
Good luck
