KITAP renewal

My KITAP expires on the 4th of July 2023. With ever changing rules and interpretations how far in advance should I apply for the "Permanent" KITAP before expiry? Thanks in anticipation of response.

I did my permanent kitap 3 months before expiry ,which I think was the earleist to apply.

How long did it take to complete the process? I need to be back in Melbourne about the 30th of May and may be able to return about June 10 so not enough time to get it done before expiry. So it looks like need to begin the application late March.

My wife said around 3 months in process ,I would suggest having a word with immigration explaining your situation, at jimbaran they are very helpful in my experience .

Interesting, and a bit strange, that it seems to take as long for Kitap renewal as for the original Kitap application itself.

Immigration at the time of my permanent kitap ,had a few problems with their card printer ,that was the only delay I remember ,around a week or so .
