Whatever, probably 2 bedrooms or possibly one my thoughts were to share with a female in similar circumstance, I'm on a pension so has to be within my limits, and i say but not necessary close to beach but that would be a consolation, been looking but all villas and houses to pricy for me need the ones I've looked at per month a bit of local knowledge i know everybody goes to to popular places for expats i just want peace and quiet hence why i thought north Bali were it not so popular around Lovina as i have explored most of Bali i haven't been to Lovina but I'm open fully for suggestions and would appreciate your knowledge and impute. Maybe say what you budget is and what you'd accept (as opposed to "like"). For instance I know some long-stay options that aren't in the papers/FB/social as to other forum members.

Which dollars? US, HK, AUS, NZ, SIN??

600 AUD = 6,5 Million IDR / month x 12 = 77 Million IDT / year On a yearly base you should be able to find something. Even in a resort in Sanur.

Yep know its in between good and bad, and Sanur been looking at that looks like ill have to come for a visit 1st hand had a couple of rogue r/e quote me stupid prices so it put me off a bit Daryl

You might want to take a look around the Karangasem area as that is about the poorest part of the island. Decent beaches are scarce there, but you may be able to find something more to your budget. At least by having that in mind any place else will undoubtedly only look better.

Never book any long term accommodation before arriving, especially now since most places have been closed for 2 years and will not look like the photos posted. Just book a homestay for a week in the area you are planning to stay and then check out properties in the area by riding or walking around. Check signs on the gates of homestays, lamp posts, etc and ask people in warungs/cafes when you arrive. In my experience the best and cheapest places are not advertised on the internet.
