With the ever changing circumstances my Indonesian wife says that now one can return to Bali without Covid tests as long as one has had the vaccinations including booster.

I truly think that most of this Novax party thing was just a way for boring people to get a little attention. All that sad crowd that I know have now promptly jumped onto the next "I'm so upset" bandwagon and are off against "fake news" Ukraine/Russia/Biden/Brexit/etc without so much as a backward glance at the "government control", "big Pharma", "vax" issues that were killing/controlling/poisoning us all yesterday. Imbeciles should all be charged with conspiracy to commit manslaughter for the people that were convinced by them not to get vaccinated and promptly died of Covid.

If fully vaccinated at least 14 days before arriving in Indonesia, RT-PCR test, maximum 48 hours before departure is still required to enter Indonesia. PCR or antigen tests are not required for domestic travel any longer, as long as fully vaccinated.

The ABC reports today that Australia now no longer requires a Covid test for vaccinated travelers arriving in Australia. Pressure will mount for other countries including including Indonesia to adopt the same approach. [ATTACH type="full" alt="1648197699670.png"]3616[/ATTACH]

It is worth noting that Indonesia recently changed RT-PCR test requirement with costly consequences for many: Before a swab sample had to be taken maximum 72 hour before departure – now this time window is reduced down to 48 hours. Based on my experience (Europe) I could have the RT-PCR taken at gov. healthcare facilities or private clinics at a reasonable cost with processing time of around 2 days -- well within the 72 hours. Now with maximum 48 hours allowed between swab taken international departure -- the only possibility is express RT-PCR taken at private clinics in / around airports that are charging up to US$300 per test/person – a nice penalty for a family of four considering Bali. Thailand policy of maximum 72 hours remain unchanged…

Well thank you Foamcrest for the like. Seriously, people need to look at and understand the data. There is proper scientific data that shows a real risk for young people, especially males,using these new, untested mRNA vaccines. So why shouldn't we be able to make the risk analysis ourselves instead of being forced by the government? Why celebrate fellow human beings being denied their right to travel because they have an opposite opinion to your own? You approve of that regime? Then go and live in communist China under their social credit system. What you are celebrating is people being denied the right to visit their children when they have done nothing wrong. People being denied the right to say goodbye to their mothers and fathers. Both of these scenarios apply to me. So have some compassion. Cheers.

Dude you're fighting the last war again. The pandemic is over and the only people that haven't gotten that email are Chinese. If you've been blessed with getting Omicron then your immunity is grand for the next 20 years to Covid 19 regardless of how many extra vaccines you are asked to take. If you decide to take the booster anyway (3rd shot) then you may be asking for trouble or a stroke like our neighbor lady that runs the warung next door. Was "made" to take the booster by pressure from the gov, kepala desa, semanka (sorry permanku) and the promise of 20kg rice (which she really didn't need) to get boosted - "like everyone else". Day after having the booster straight to hospital with a stroke and lamed on her entire right side - a woman of 40 years old.
