I can't begin to tell you how many pointless and irrelevant stories here in Bali begin with "I hear tell that". We can all do a list:
1) Around Bali Monorail
2) Northern Airport
3) Around Bali toll road
4) Banning all alcohol.
5) Nyepi all internet and power for the whole island will be turned off.
These are just the ones I can remember easily
My humble experience is that to save brain cells and needless worry WAIT till you see something printed in LAW. Not floated on some newspaper (they call it "Socializing" which is "checking the water" everywhere else) or chatted about on some forum.
I suggest you grab your present license (SIM) and pop on over to your local cop- shop and ask them how to renew it.
BPJS is guarded here like the NHS is in the UK and about as uselessly.
