Though I was in the bar on new years even and the pecalang came and everyone was quickly whipping on masks and they were told the health orders state to be closed by 11pm. Later found out they raided all the bars in Sanur that night. According to other friends the rules were different in Seminyak and could party all night no drama. Hati hati as it continues with the data harvesting. Of course if these apps were only used as intended and advertised it would be much different but alas they are not. I didn't like this idea in the first place this sort of thing is even more off putting.[/SIZE]

I am stunned, disgusted and utterly pissed off that they have let this bloke in after all the hardship and angst that Australia, and in particular the population of Victoria, has been through during this Covid thing. We have worn masks, stayed at home, isolated in hotels, been refused permission to attend births, deaths, marriages, others can’t even come home from overseas to their own country because of Covid restrictions, All the bullshit in the world put out by Tennis Australia will not convince the general public of this country that Djokovich wasn't given an exemption just because of who he is and what a draw card he is to the tournament. A person who has bought a ticket to the tennis has to show their double vaccination certificate before they are even allowed into the venue yet this dick head just waltzes in. I can guarantee that the crowd will boo him from the moment he set’s foot on the court and no amount of admonishment from the umpire will stop them. Watch this space for it’s not over just yet. I think the powers that be have drastically misjudged the general public’s utter disgust and raw anger at his exemption. There’s half a chance he might get turned around on arrival at the airport, here’s hoping. .

I see the same the world over - the government is slammed if it locks down or opens up. The current Australian approach of 90% vaccine and open up (or let it rip) with modifying restrictions to ensure ICU bed capacity on paper seems a sensible approach. Joe public wants no restrictions and no deaths, just not a reality.
