Omricon in Bali

Do you think Omicron has made it to Bali yet? The official Covid numbers are low so I am just wondering if perhaps now Bali has built up enough herd immunity to protect itself, or will we see case numbers rise again. What are your thoughts?

It seems that Omicron is a great ignorer of vaccinations and prior immunity BUT is very mild (cold-like) in those mentioned. But as said the symptoms are mild to negligible - cold-like is the term used. Beats the hell out of 6 week intubation and induced comas I'd say? All you unvaccinated please let us know how it is.

Hmmm, yeah funny that. Almost like they can't let go of a good disaster. Even when the counter-evidence is staring them in the face. Or maybe they just have decided to err on the side of being super cautious. Hell they get paid whatever. South Africa seems to be leading the way now with a fairly hands off attitude letting everyone just get on with it now since they don't seem to be able to contain it anyway. Maybe someone should tell China...?

I can't believe that it hasn't hit Bali yet. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2021/12/28/indonesia-records-first-omicron-community-case Cases are very low now in Bali, while many countries are experiencing new waves with thousands of cases a day.

At my wife's work some of the children and now staff have tested positive , on Thursday when I picked up my wife we had to go to the test centre to get some RAT test. My wife is POS and I am NEG, wife has a sore throat so now she has to take test on day 6. We have split the house up her side , my side so I can still go to work. so far its less then a common cold, we both have had 3 shots so hoping that's as bad as it gets.

I had 2 AZ and 1 Pfizer and my wife had 3 Pfizer. So April here we come.

It's recommended that you mix-n-match the shots and your experience (well, your wife's) would seem to bear that out.
