Don't judge me - Thermomix

I have a Thermomix ( no.comments please ) TM5. It is playing up / broken and I think a contact on the bowl is to blame. Before I pay for a new one to be shipped from Australia it would be good to try another bowl. Does anyone on this forum have a TM5 and would be willing for me to bring my machine and check it works with their bowl. There is no risk to the other bowl and I will be extremely grateful.

Complicated electronics just hate it in the tropics. Can't think of how many gadgets I've said goodbye to here, so my point is that any solution you find to your momentary problem will only be temporary. Best thing you can do is spend the money you'll save on a new Thermomix on learning how to cook yourself.

Thanks Markit, A repair is a possibility but a replacement was never on the cards. They are fantastic machines but grossly over priced especially when you consider the price of a good meal out here. I fully take on board your comment regarding the humidity effect. For your information I am not a bad cook at all but the Thermomix does save time which was important to me when I bought it.
