Well are new gardener started yesterday. We paid 200k for 7 hours work so around 30k an hour.
He will worked bloody hard, there was no pretending on his part.
Ongoing we will pay 35k an hour for 2 hours. He has a 30 minute commute in each direction.
Maybe we could have got cheaper but I think a fair price for a small number of hours.
That's reasonable for Sanur (big city) and his commute.
Might actually give him a bit more for gas and breakfast too. Mine get rice and some of what I cook (western) if and when there's something they don't know (which is almost everything, not rice) and coffee if and when they want it.
If I can offer some advice? Don't be vague about your instructions, like pointing at one area of the garden and saying "clear that up". At the beginning you need to be fairly detailed and on top of it cause they're learning what you want too.
Don't be a clock rider unless you feel like he's taking the piss. I let mine (12 years now so..) pretty much do what they want, when they want it. With only occasional directions, usually in the form of a question. Like "Should that dead tree really be in the pond?".
