Subway sandwiches, Mc Do... FFS get some real food and not junk that belongs in the garbage bin !
Every type of REAL cuisine is available in South Bali.
While I sort of get the hate for big chains taking everything over, Mcdonalds, I can buy any city in the world and get basically the same thing. Also it has a certain hygiene standard (which I won't pretend to adhere to living here it's impossible) and the food is basically consistent across all venues. Consistent garbage you say no doubt.
After almost a year of living in Denpasar yes can buy most bule food here which is why I thought that maybe there is something like Subway, I got a sandwhich at a place called The Sandwhich Bar in Sanur it wasn't bad but it didn't have all the stuff I want to add almost 100k for a glorified ham&cheese toaste with a latte is kinda pricy IMO, didn't break the bank but want all the variety of vegetables etc I can add, the different bread choices, the cheese's, the cookies. Overall yep, I agree Indo food is better by far, that's why I am here. But I just had a craving for Subway or similar and last time I found it in Jakarta, so maybe something here.
It's also entirely possible to buy all the salami capiscum, onion etc at Pepito, Popular etc and build the thing alone probably the route I'll go, but since I'm often alone with Mrs working, sometimes I buy all these veg etc for a meal I feel like and the rest just goes off. Mate suggested buying a breadmaker but IMO I am already overstocked on appliances as it is.
