Astra Zenica Vaccination Reaction

G'day fellow expats, How many of you have had the Astra Zenica vaccination, both doses. My girlfriend had her second dose 2 weeks ago and has really sick for the last week or more. Very sore stomach, lack of appetite, vomiting, difficulty breathing and very bad headaches. She's coming good now but I still worry about the headaches. Had a couple of visits to the Medics but apart from painkillers and something to settle her stomach they haven't been very helpful. Any feedback on how it has affected any one of you gentlemen would be very greatly appreciated.

I was ok, my wife ended up in hospital for 2 nights. Insurance (Allianz) didn't cover the stay either. Age is a factor also and only people over 60 are recommended to get it in Australia. On the news today they said they will be phasing out AZ in Australia.

I’ve just had my second jab of Astra Zenica today, I’m 75 so it should be safe. After the first jab I had an intense feeling of being cold but after a few hours and a good sleep I was fine. My health is compromised by Asthma and COPD so I wouldn’t stand a chance if I was infected with Covid besides if and when the boarders open for international travel we Im off to Bali and want to be able to (a) survive and (b) be able to show my vaccination passport to the relevant authorities.

The missus, me and all the staff had the AZ #1, #2 coming next week. Ist jab occasioned a sleepy day of recovery the day after for all parties but that's it. Nothing else. For all those worried about the AZ shot be aware that all the other jabs are equally as "dangerous" but they aren't reporting much about them as there is serious money behind all of them (Carl Sagan- "billions and billions") Where the AZ is cheap as chips. Had the 2 AstraZenica vaccinations for wife, her daughter and self. First jab wife felt less than brilliant for two days. Daughter feverish and vomiting. Improved third day. Second jab the daughter had sore arm but otherwise wife and self had no reaction. Given this is a noxious foreign substance injected it is not surprising the body reacts. The level of reaction I suspect relates to the person's overall health and immune system. Wife's daughter is rather thin and eats like a sparrow and lacks basic stamina. I trust your girlfriend recovers and then might be a time to look at what she eats and level of exercise. In simplistic terms important to eat plenty of fruit, vegetables, natural foods and maybe shift to nasi merah if she is a rice eater. As much as possible avoid manufactured food products as most contain harmful levels of sugar and salt. Avoid soft drinks and so called, packaged fruit juices as they are all heavily loaded with sugar. It seems 30 minutes a day of workout routines is helpful. Plenty of entertaining workout videos on Youtube to dance, exercise to. Walk rather than jump on the motorbike where reasonable.

Thanks for making the thread, was considering jumping on this one then Australia brought out health warnings and are advising people under 60 not to get it and then it's being pulled from the Australian market altogether in https://www.theguardian.com/business/2021/jun/23/australia-plans-to-shelve-astrazeneca-covid-vaccine-by-october . I'm gonna sit back and watch it all play out a bit more, this one starting to sound a bit iffy to me. I wouldn't say I'm an anti vaxer by any means all for freedom and choice, but I feel like a better product may come about and it could be worth waiting. Have seen reports of some pretty bad side effects on other forums, though, I have no idea their age, health condition etc. Even one dude claiming his gf died Is Indonesia making Johnson and Johnson avail? anyone know? Edit: I just remembered something else, I talked to a bunch of the old fellas at the local/s here in Sanur, majority had the AZ jab, only reported very minor side effects like getting the shits for a day after and feeling weak. I don't think any had had injection #2 at that point was a while ago now. The Australia thing I also don't know is there some business deal going on behind the scenes? I'd take Aus medical advice over Indo anyday though.

Dr. Robert W Malone, the inventor of the mRNA vaccine posted this study on his Twitter page regarding the safety of Covid-19 vaccinations. (it's a peer-reviewed study by the way for all you science worshippers out there). Anyway, I've attached it to this message but for those that don't have the time to read it, it essentially says for every 3 deaths we prevent through vaccination, 2 die. Not sure if I like that ratio.

Agreed, hate the Guardian usually but unfortunately one can't be so picky anymore about news sources and this article seems reasonable.

The ratio is as stated 2 die for 3 prevented BUT the statistic is taken from a pandemic aware public with all the lockdowns, distancing and healthcare precautions. It does not compare with a totally unprotected and unaware public which is were we are all trying to get back to isn't it?

Hi Guys, had my second AZ shot last Wednesday. No reaction as all, not even a sore arm. All good

Looking like I'm most likely going to have to get it to be able to get in and out of Indonesia, AZ is my preference what's on the menu locally. Will report back. Mrs village basically forcing it though using Sinovac or 10 juta fine. Not sure why that brand. Maybe overstocked - MarkIT do you fall under Sibetan? Any insights?

My missus had her 2nd dose AZ Monday. She is still alive. I can't be bothered with all this drama, but I am still alive as well without vaccine. Whisky will do.

I'd love a whisky a lot more than vaccine. You have a friend in duty free? You drinking that glue/petrol drum gas? Or you paying $100 a bottle for white label?
