I just finished watching season 4 of House of Cards. The first 3 seasons are pretty much based on the British season. Americans tend to keep a series going until the storyline becomes ridiculous and the audience loses interest.I read one review of the series and they said the storyline was too "unbelievable". I thought that was pretty strange with what is happening now with the American election. Overall, aside from a few dull moments, pretty entertaining.

Thought about watching that too as loved Kevin Spacey since the Usual Suspects and some LA thing. Still waiting for that Eldorado of a decent internet connection to download it.

Have no idea what you are talking about, but to think that you take American TV seriously as entertainment is a revelation in itself when years ago Americans were told that the media was tested to be successful at an age 10 level. And that means something that morons can enjoy.

Dude I know Phds that watch American TV. I could give you pages of excellent drama and documentaries but your tone leads me to believe it would be "casting pearls before swine" so just a couple to be going on with...Game of ThronesSix Feet UnderGolden Girls (yeah, I know but it was great)Dallas (worst TV ever but once you watched it you were doomed)Gilligans IslandStar TrekThis list of crap has had more effect and made more impression on the world's population than anything else. It's cross border, no respecter of religion/race or wealth. Mindless entertainment - kind like the Balipod.

Good advice imo.:icon_cool:

HOC - have watched the first 3 episodes getting a bit boring but still good quality and acting. I still believe British tv is of a better quality and without doubt much more realistic. As for Markits list he is obviously still living in the 70s.bring yourself up to date mate. Gilligans Island really!! Dallas - did you model yourself on JR Great American tv series just a few Breaking Bad - sensational Sons of Anarchy -brilliant Homeland - great Great British tv series. Silent witness - classyCracker - what a script and characters Broadchurch - realistic, great acting. Comedies like Monty Python and fawlty towers and the office could never be bettered by American stuff
