Hardly what you're asking for but I had 90% success rate in the wet season, whatever I planted grew it was bizarre. Now, 3/20 or so plants survived and barely.
I'll take Mark IT's advice on this one leave it to the experts, but I'll have another go next wet season. Here in the city the sun is so intense I don't go out between 8am and 4pm, which frankly sucks but better safe than sorry. As much as I was bitching about the 3 weeks of rain at the time, wishing it back now!
You are right about growing in the wet season, except the tomatoes and chilies didn’t dig it. I understand it is hot now, but I want to try my best to learn how to grow in a tropical climate. I am trying to grow plants that can handle these conditions, such as Chinese kale, malabar spinach, moringa, chiles, terong, tomatoes, purple pak choy, purple cauliflower, red bayam, zucchini, kacang panjang. Some things will excel and some won’t. I enjoy giving it a try. I know it would be a better climate in the mountains, but I like to be a little more social, and I like living by the ocean. I don’t live in Changgu, or Ubud, Sanur, or Kuta. They have gotten too fast paced for me. If folks want to be there, more power to them. Let’s all try to get along. Peace
