I didn't mean like lottemart/carefour etc I meant the locally owned distributor. Totally agree not shoveling all your cash to overseas megabrands if you don't have to. My local warung owner is a bitch, I first met her as she was yelling at me why am I shopping in the neighbouring one. Then she started selling me crates one or two beers short and paying me back later (only if I asked of course). So I decided to seek out another supplier. On price Mrs used to have a hookup down near the market but she got married and "retired" , disappearing to her village that was 433,000 crate, haven't found less than 450,000 / crate since but I haven't looked outside of Sanur.

Bali Jaya is less than 450.000 a crate. Used to get mine for 430.000 in Ungasan at Puji Warung. Great guy

To SNI? To a higher spec? Unfortunately most construction in Bali isn’t even in compliance with SNI, and SNI is the very least you’d want to be building to if you are seeking any kind of longevity out of your property. With your Structure, you’ll get what you pay for (if done right, by a reputable party) - finishings however are a different story.. Finishings? Marble? Marble can range in price from under 200rb/m2 to 8,5jt/m2 (eg. Certain grades of Statuario Marble) - just the method used in fixing marble to a substrate can be a big difference to cost and outcome.Porcelain tiles can range in cost from below 100rb to well over 1jt/m2, depending on quality, precision of the product, design and country of origin. The architect will apply with a roof and a more traditional design, then they "forget" the roof OR "sorry we're running out of money flat roof instead..." re Populaire: the above pic is a traditional Indonesian house (except the pool which will for sure ruin your m2 price if counting the total expenses), yes it's cheaper, probably with cheap local wood or Kamper. Cheap tiles etc. Some years ago your price was doable Important here is the question WHO will build it; if you are do it yourself yes. If an Indonesian family with plenty of skilled friends. Hi Sukabumi, Pool aside, that top villa is definitely buildable within the 5,5jt/m2 budget - even today, using a proper builder - which seems to be what you’re also acknowledging. Bundling a pool into a blended average of the cost of a villa makes little to no sense - unsure as to why some attempt such. The house/villa structure and finishings are one thing, the pool is another and should be referred to as a separate item in its own right, with its own structural / finishing costs & specifications. Of course house & pool shall have separate calculations in a construction plan. And should be listed as such. Rationally speaking you are absolutely right. But - let's say I'm craving for fried chicken rice with a sunny side egg on top (;) sorry for the stupid explanation) perhaps I'm pleased that rice is theoretically that cheap but plain rice won't satisfy what I want. Now I can order my dish either at Kudeta or at the local warung; costs for a bite will vary, but pushing this aspect aside. Total cost of my dish : bites = price per bite. For me as a customer I would see house & pool as a package (I understand that 1 m2 building a pool cost more than 1 m2 building a living room). But for my total expenses I would like to know the total price per m2. Or the total amount of my investment. At least as a fun fact on top of all the other informations. Cheers

Hi Sakumabali, It actually doesn’t - the average cost of a pool per sqm - assuming such was a regular sized pool (and not a particularly small pool) wouldn’t cost more per square meter than that of a typically spec’d living room. In fact it would be cheaper per sqm if it utilized a skimmer - and likely about the same if it utilized a balancing tank with an infinity edge. The problem with bundling homes / villas, pools and property walls is... what exactly is typical? A 250m2 villa with a 20m2 villa is going to have a very different price per sqm than the same villa with a 55m2 pool, if the cost of the pool is blended back into the overall cost and then divided ONLY by the area of the villa. And what if this villa and pool were on a 20are plot which the owner wanted fenced with a 2.5m high wall all around - how would that compare to the same being on a 3are plot? Just pointing out that the format of this question is flawed - it should be slightly more specific in nature if an accurate answer is sought. Cheers, Populaire www.populaire.com
