I did hear somewhere that it was only 8pm and they were asked to leave. Best just get takeaway and don't argue .

At least these 'idiots' had the benefit of advance notice, as the PPKM circular regulating Denpasar and Badung came out a while back, so they have no right to protest. However, despite the circular not applying to Gianyar, some banjars in Ubud took it upon themselves to implement it anyway on short notice, while others have done nothing, so it's a right mess to figure out what is open late and what is not, and pretty unfair for those businesses forced to close early while their competitors in a different banjar down the street run business as usual.
