We are hoping to find something in Canggu, Uluwatu/bukit area, or around Ubud, but we are open to other locations if the property is right.
We would like a 2 bedroom place for around $180k (USD) if we can make that happen. We would have about 30k (USD) to put as a down payment.
Ideally, we could rent it for much of the year (60% if we can) to cover our costs and then use it as a vacation property for ourselves once or twice a year. However, this is all about 2 years away. Hopefully prices are still good by then.
At the moment we are in the process of getting our postnuptial agreement sorted out because we were unaware we needed a prenup prior to marriage in order to protect my wife's ownership rights in Indonesia.
