At almost any mainstream bank you scratch the surface and find a cesspool of money laundering, tax avoidance schemes and illegal investments in drugs, corruption, politics, healthcare and real estate - I could go on and on and on. We read again and again how finance houses are blasted to pay huge (900+ million HSBC recently) fines (who gets that money?).
