It seems Gurkha has laid down his bow and is now buying his meals.However we now have 2 butchers shops newly opened in Sanur. The other is on Jalan Danau Poso. This is operated by a Kiwi guy who is also turning out quality produce. Generally his prices are under the 100k per kilo.Tomorrow, I will be calling through the place that Gurkha mentions. To be honest it does not take a lot to beat what Mama's and Aroma turn out.

I went to Porkies butcher shop this morning. I wore a blonde wig in case Gurkha was across the road with his cross bow. All went well. They have a bloody good variety of cold cuts. I came home will all sorts of adds and sods. The bright side is that the bag of meat cost me less than the bloody awful breakfast at Grocer & Grind in central Sanur.I am happy to report that I have now been to Grocer & Grind for my first and last visit. Seriously a breakfast at KFC would have been better.

Thank you all for this interesting info about new butchers. Mama and Aroma are out for a long time. Bad quality, expensive and totally watery tasteless.
