Only a Brit would think applesauce and any meat go together, yuk! Americans love a piece of apple pie with a slice of bitter cheddar cheese - also sounds yuk but actually is rare good!

Americans eat turkey with cranberry sauce. What's the difference?
Yeah but only once a year to remind themselves of how bad it really is. Ditto turkey - never did understand that tradition (you can even buy the fecking things here!) for some of the driest meat in the world. Does not matter how you cook that thing it's like have a mouthful of sawdust (hence the cranberries, otherwise Americans would die in droves from suffocation). Drier that a mother-in-laws fart.

Did someone start a competition for THE MOST BORING LONG-WINDED CONTRIBUTION TO A FORUM IN HISTORY! and not tell me???Recently I open a thread here and half way through get an almost irresistible urge to shoot myself and then slash both wrists. If there's a race for the bottom (not KK's) can someone please tell PaleSeaWilli and Doveinta that they've fecking won and can stop trying so hard?!

I think pancakes with maple and bacon originated in America.
Yes, maple syrup originated there as they have the only maple trees (North America, including Canada) but that's not a vegetable or fruit it's the sap of a tree. Would you like some world wide examples of food from trees?

I just realized apples also come from trees... time to have a beer, it's been a long day.
