Elaborate please. I'm waiting for the borders to open up and flights to resume LAX - Denpasar. I've got a place under construction in Negara and trying to get back. Any new intel on what to expect when I return? I'm close to booking a RT flight from LAX on August 1st but the waters are murky as to if Bali will be open or what to expect when I get there. Was last there in February/March 2020. Any help much appreciated.
Edit: I now hear the Denpasar airport will be accepting international flights effective June 1st from EVA airlines for those traveling with Indonesian passports only.
No non resident Caucasian allowed in Mrs village, her father even asked the local Banjar for an exception-declined. Which means I'd be locked in Denpasar/Sanur the tourist south where many business are still closed or operating on very restricted hours and must use face mask to go in public. Feel free to correct me mostly second hand information from Mrs (who is there now) and my own experience before I came back. If restaurants, cafes, bars and shopping and city life isn't your thing, maybe it would an ok experiance for you, but all the villages in my Mrs area are locked in 7am to 7pm still.
Not to mention the Aust govt will pay me to stay home, where in Indonesia I've gotta live entirely off my own funds.
Mrs tried to rent several different rooms in Denpasar for June, most are empty buildings under govt order, she has sent photos backing this up.
Edit to update: word is some of these restrictions will be lifted 6 June
