Also, South Korea's running round [B][I]now[/I][/B] like a headless chicken trying to get on top of it. Last, but not least, someone with no initial symptoms copping it after [B]27 days[/B]! Makes one wonder about the 14 days 'quarantine period'. :(

Does anyone remember 3 years ago when Bali was chosen No. 1 tourist target in the world? 2 years ago Mt. Agung blew it's top and killed it that year and then last year it was massive earthquakes on Lombok that stopped it deadand just when you thought it could not get any worse along comes a Corona virus to kill tourism for this year... you could not make this shit up.

I keep seeing people talking about how they are looking forward to the warmer spring weather. I doubt that we are immune to the virus in Bali, but the warm weather could limit its spread than what we have seen in the northern hemisphere.

COV-19 has been 'replicated' in [I]some[/I] laboratories for testing purposes (to find out more about how it works, possible vaccine, etc). As far as [I]how[/I] heat affects it, it 'dies' when the temperature reaches [B][I]56 degrees C[/I][/B][I].[/I] Because so little is still known about it, (like, is there more than one version?), the world's still in the dark. There [B][I]are[/I][/B] cases in Indonesia already. Hopefully, the authorities here have the ability to deal with it. At least something more rational than this quote from a religious 'expert': [B][I]...Muslims who are experiencing fever, coughs, and illnesses such as the flu or the common cold, [/I][should][I] pray at home until they are cured...[/I][/B] Which begs the question: [I]what if you're [B]not[/B] a Muslim?[/I] I rest my case.

We flew out this morning to Sydney and only one Australian girl was wearing a mask yet every single Asian had one on. Our flight was quite uneventful yet on arrival in Sydney our cab driver as well as all the radio and TV stations are almost in hysterical mode about the virus. I went shopping for the basics at Coles Manly and there was not a toilet roll to be had, not even a box of tissues. I tell you the world has gone bonkers. Keep your heads down and stay where you are folks.

Same-same in Perth, people spreading fear and hysteria at work become such a big issue and the only topic of discussion for weeks that the store manager had to make some firm rules just to deal with this. As the economy is basically buckling other than toilet paper and grocery items there isn't any casual work for me so going to fly back to Denpasar and wait it out from there.
