Yes, Fred2, if it is just large screen that is required there are cheaper models. The higher priced models gives Ultra HD (4000x2000) rather than Full HD (2000x1000), can play 3D movies, are "Smart" meaning they connect to the Internet by cable or wifi and can play streamed content such as YouTube.

Ronny do I understand you correctly, you paid 28J for the tv and they threw in a smaller one for free?
ronb
Yes, which seems strange - but now the similar model is 23 juta.

Wow! you could give "bargaining" classes by the sound of things...Or get a % of what you can get off the final bill?

For instance I've got 2 A/C that both have defunct displays - the A/C part work still a treat but there's no indication what's happening on the front displays. So it's probably surge protection I'm talking about? What is the advise here?

I had a couple of stabilizers in Lovina but they seemed to give as much trouble as they prevented. Voltage control by PLN is probably much better than it was, but lightning strikes very close to your house can always be a problem that PLN has no control over. Thankfully that does not happen very often. Both Samsung and LG(and others I suppose) will cover you in the warranty period - but it is often only 1 year so that is not much help.

Dunno if too late but I always get my TVs from Kartika electronics in JL. Raya Kuta 43. Ive bought 2 x 50 inch from there and a 63 inch and they always work out a lot cheaper than Electronics City.

Many thanks and the next time I'm in DPS I'll hold my nose and go to Kuta for a look. Went to Electronic city on the Gotso and was disappointed by the lack of selection and the unserious ways of the staff. The TV I wanted had a deliver time of "maybe 2 months" maybe also 9...

Kartika always deliver same day to me in Gatsu. Your location is obviously a disadvantage for that sort of thing :)

I'm strickly "carry trade" - you think I'd let those bozos cart around 20+ mil of my tv kit? No way!

A 60 inch TV on a scooter would be one of the funnier things I've seen here. Just need the wife and 4 kids to cap it all ;-)

I saw a guy on a m/b the other day and he was inside a big cardboard box...totally covered. I wondered how he could drive then saw this little skinny kid was the driver but he had to stand and lean forward as the box was so big. Should have taken a pic with my Samsung Galaxy but still haven't learned how to do that.
