Does anyone have a Bali source for cured (treated with borax) bamboo. My usual source has dried up and I need about 10 stems each of blond and black.

I've been through their lumber/bamboo yard and they have large borax baths, kilns etc. with a large selection of species.

Big Tree Farms Bamboo.
Of course I've heard of them but thought they only do chocolate and if you check out their website that seems to agree with that conclusion. I will contact them in the morning and see if I can find some bloody bamboo - you'd think it would be easy with all the hoopla about sustainability and "green" this and "green" that but I've even written to bloody Elena Hardy (no reply - she's obviously heard about me) and contacted her Bamboo design place Bambu Inda - they don't answer phones and email only to say they do girl stuff - jewelry and oleh oleh crap. Thanks for the tip Steve. Markit

Not to seem ungrateful but it's either "You're" welcome or "You are" - "your" welcome is already mine... just saying.

edit: ever wonder why he wants big sticks of bamboo ugh?
Yes, and he only wants 'blondes' and 'blacks'. Is he speaking in code? I think we should be told.Actually, he used the term 'blond'. From englishplus.com :Blond or Blonde? The words blond and blonde come from the French and follow somewhat the French pattern. Blond (without the e) is used to describe males, mixed gender, or uncertain gender. Blonde refers to women or female gender. In modern use, blond is sometimes used for female as well as male, but blonde is preferred for female. I think there is more to this than meets the eye. He appears to be looking for male or mixed gender bamboo. Hmmm....RegardsYour friendly Granma Nazi
