See my post #3 above. Many phone cameras allow you to adjust picture quality and therefore file size. I'm using a Xiaomi Pocophone F1, which is a mid level android model. On the other hand, I understand that it's not possible to adjust the file size of a photo taken with an iphone, unless you use a third party app. As they say, everything's bigger in America.
