I suspect a harmless Mangrove or Wolf snake.

I suspect a harmless Mangrove or Wolf snake.
Definitely a Mangrove snake Markit. I channeled my inner Steve Irwin (CRIKEY!) and he confirmed,"Hava look at this gold banded mangrove snake, it's a beauty innit ? If ya get bit by one of these fella's ya can get a little crook but if youse leave 'em alone they'll be on their merry way. Their fangs are toward the back-end of their gobs and will strike ya if ya harass 'em but they won't kill ya.I mean crikey, it's not like it's a stingray or sommink!".

The Woman in the Blue HijabThe photo of the woman speaks out loudly to me. It is an excellent photo showing a family elder who would have a million and one fascinating stories about her life as an Indonesian. Her hijab must have been a special gift somewhere along the line. Perhaps a landmark birthday? It would have looked quite something on Day One.That photo reminds me I don't know nearly enough about Indonesia at all and I just wish I was fluent in the language so I could sit and talk to her for hours, soaking up as much as I could. That photo belongs in an exhibition or somehow on display.Ref: SR's post #1

I'm always curious to understand the aspiration to cast "age" in the place of "wisdom". I look at the same picture and imagine a lifetime spent being commanded around by any male member of the family between the ages of 5 and 95 to do all the scut and cleanup work and in her free time she's off to pray to Allah. I figure a conversation of around 10 minutes would just about cover all the highlights of her existence. Unless you were big on crying.

Here is another image from the other side of age and wisdom. Any photo's or images that you see here have been taken by me.I don't care if anyone takes an advantage. I like doing it and I like that some people get enjoyment from my photo's. Simple ego gratification.

Superdud? It was still a nice full-moon here on the 14/11/2016.In fact any full-moon here is always nice and always significant for Balinese.
BestofBali
I love seeing the photos of Bali 20 years ago compared to now, its unbelievable how quickly Bali built up.
Markit
I prefer the ones from 40/50 years ago for obvious reason.
