Moving to Bali.

Hello everyone, I am thinking very seriously about moving to Bali. I am retired, receive an Australian pension, I also will have travel insurance etc. I visited Bali many years ago, stayed at Sanur Beach, can’t remember name of Hotel, however very much enjoyed the culture, care free attitude, and the very friendly local people. I am hoping that I will be able to obtain a retirement Visa that would enable me to stay long term. Would it be best for me to visit, meet with authorities/visa agency, complete the appropriate paperwork/application, then return to Australia, and then return to Bali? I would welcome any advice from those with experience in this. Many thanks, Graeme.

You seem pretty sure of what you want to do so I'd say just contact a visa agent (my guy called Tude on +62 819 9910 0490) and get the ball rolling for you first year. Tell him Mark says HI. Will cost you around 10 million.

Hi Baggy welcome! My wife and I just went through the retirement visa process literally a few week ago. We where in Bali and set it up then but if you want to save $$$ you can do it all via email and phone with your agent. Once the visa is approved pick it from the embassy in Oz, come over, report in and finalise it. For the retirement visa you need to use an approved agent and there prices are negotiable.
