Hi there,
Im new here.
I was wondering if anyone has shipped a bike over to Bali & what the costs were? Its a Harley & weighs 312kgs if its weight costed.

You can not import new or used bikes or cars, a dealer may be able to import it at 5 times its value.
But rego would be illegal or big bike club in Jakarta???
Humpy
illegal? really ? is that coz its above 1000cc ?
Whats the big bike club ?
Fred2
No because its above 250cc for bikes And 3000cc for cars, anything larger is call buildup imported by a dealer.
The big bike club is for the bikes(not a lot) that have been ridden over land to Indonesia and have not left the country.
They have rego as club bikes and used on club runs.
You cannot import a used car or bike into Indonesia, new Large cars or bikes through a dealer at 50% tax or as much as customs wants to charge.

Well I guess that depends on your finances as there are plenty of big bikes, including hogs, available for sale in Indonesia.

Not sure you would miss a big bike, you cannot go on motorways with bikes so your stuck in traffic. if your lucky you can go over 80 klm hour but too many dogs and bad drivers, harder to go between cars ,around speed bumps, onto footpaths and up the wrong way. Stick with the 125/150 much easier and don't forget you can't get the bike into parking area, handle bars too wide.

I always hire a bike when im there but looking to stay there for a few years coming up thats all. Im comfortable with the traffic there & Ive managed to get up to 110 kph on the freeway as well on a big scooter.
