Which part of Malaysia? I have fond memories of Malaysia but mostly wouldn't recognize most places from 40 to 50 years ago.

Hi Chris, Welcome to the forum and living in Bali. A wise move going up North to Lovina. You are close to the National Park, and some good snorkeling on Menjangan island? I have never lived up there, but been a few times, lovely. Take it easy and check out all of East Bali too. When you go to the beach, have a cold beer for me and watch the sunset. Much love, Dennis

Be warned many parts of Lovina can be as dry as a bone in more "normal" years. Maybe first ask around your neighborhood because truckloads of water at 1 million/week can get old quickly.
