Even if you were in the US it would be difficult unless you had a sound case in accordance with international acceptance. If an individual works as an employee in the US he/she may be garnished for wages because of unpaid debt. That means the employer would reduce the wage within the amount of the debt. If it were a large employer it could result in firing. If a small employer certainly an embarrassment. On the debtor's side would be an avoidance of those circumstances assuming that you have a viable case, and they would want to settle. What is related here is in accordance with the law of Washington State; other states may differ.
