A young Melbourne woman is facing up to five years behind bars in Bali, accused of stealing earrings from a local store.
Catherine Anne Hogg, 28, is being held at Kuta police station after being arrested on Sunday afternoon.
Balinese media are reporting that Ms Hogg is a “sexy and beautiful model from Australia”.
Security vision allegedly shows Ms Hogg stealing a pair of earrings worth $550 from the Farah Khan shop in popular tourist district Seminyak.
Officers said the young woman was in the store with another woman and a man “trying to make shop keepers busy” before making off with the earrings.
Police were called and Ms Hogg was arrested nearby and is being detained as a suspect of theft.
