I didn’t know where to put this message so I placed it here. From another forum it has been advised that Davita passed away on the 5th Oct. His wife advised that he passed from his long battle with cancer. From my limited time here I hope I’m not out of line in posting this but I thought it odd by his lack of posting that something was amiss.

As I remarked on the other forum, David had been an important contributor of useful and informative information. It was noticeable that he was no longer posting and both forums will miss him. At least he had a varied and interesting life and a rich store of experience from which he could offer advice. Commiserations to family and those that knew him well.

Condolences to his family. I had never met him, but read his many posts, always interesting and balanced. He surely had a head on his shoulders, and he stuck me as a person I would have liked to know and call my friend.
