Agree, and it's amazing that foreigners who are probably otherwise intelligent, decent and careful people throw caution to the wind and take huge financial risks (usually without a commensurate reward) when coming to Bali.

If you want to see truly stupid you should go look at the answers to the "problem". It seems there is an entire sub-species of homo sapiens that are able to exist on purely the "intelligence" in their spinal cords without any access to the higher functions of their cortexs. Trump fans?

Unfortunately Bali has us drop out guard down from time to time and we all have these dreams of living on a tropical island for the rest of our days. That's when some vulnerable people get caught up in the dreams and see no danger. That's when the villains move in so for a lot of people i only have sympathy, l know I have been there got the tee . Modelt,spot on mate,,love can make an otherwise sensible sane intelligent educated etc person into a blithering idiot,,,it happens all the time in Bali,Australia all over ,there is always a vulture ready to separate you from your hard earned,,, When you here these stories ,one only wishes they had sought good advice,,from a relative in their own country ,,,I would not even enter into a long lease in Bali,,,
