Does Bali island get earthquakes and Tsunamis? Or is that for other areas.

Ya earthquakes quite regularly , tsunamis we wait and see .

Seismologists think that Bali is long overdue for its own big quake. [I]Some[/I] major ones to remember: 1815 (7.0) 10,253 killed (+ a tsunami) 1917 (6.6) 1,500 dead 1976 (6.5) 573 dead, 4,750 injured 2004 (5.8) 1 dead, 29 injured As for tsunami warnings these days, it's sobering to remember that after the huge Aceh quake/tsunamis, hundreds of floating detectors were donated to Indonesia. Many of them were stolen by fishermen, others weren't maintained properly, (if at all), and recently, [B]none[/B] of the remaining ones work. So, it's still all shake, rattle 'n roll, and watch out for falling coconuts. :eek:

The west US coast is a mega disaster waiting to happen. Not just for there but [I]when[/I] it happens, we'll all know. Then there's Yellowstone Park, a super volcano that doesn't look like one. Might be better if we get hit by an asteroid and be done with it. Don't worry, be happy, sleep well. It ain't over yet. :oops:
