online electronics shopping options?

Is there a reliable on-line retailer in Indonesia for electronics products such as computer peripherals, etc. that will ship to Bali? (I am assuming there probably isn't one located in Bali itself?) I would like to find a good source for computer accessories. Here in Ubud I have only been able to find one store near me, located next to Bintang, called Zoom Digital. No marked prices. I stopped in and asked the guy some prices on various items. Then I asked for lower prices on the same items. After that I did a little research on said items on the internet. They all appear to be very common in the Indonesian market, but here's the catch: the prices I was asked to pay at Zoom Digital (even after he "discounted" them) were 200%-400% higher than the standard prices of these items as listed online by a variety of Indonesian sellers. Needless to say, after discovering this, I am not eager to support the business of Zoom Digital. And I'm sure he doesn't need support--he must be making a killing off tourists with computer problems who unsuspectingly wander into his shop. A lot of these online sellers that come up on Google seem to be located in Java. There is a store called Diva computer, and also a place called Bukalapak, which appears to be a forum for individual merchants to sell stuff - anyone ever ordered anything through these places? Alternatively, if anyone knows of an electronics store in the Ubud area that actually has price labeling, perhaps I could stop in there for a look. Thanks for your help.

I have ordered some stuff from Tokopedia recently. Great experience. The stuff comes from different shops in Jakarta. Just look for ones with lots of 5 star reviews. If you think it might be a product that might be hard to come by, then check with the seller first if they have stock available.

Tokopedia are great. Order online and pay in Indomaret or online and you can track the whole thing online.

Shipping to indo shouldnt be a prob if you use a drop box like shipito... they will readdress and ship anywhere

Three that I’ve used successfully: [B]Bhinneka.com[/B] (Jakarta-based – excellent.) Have bought computer cables, digital camera, flash disks, guitar stuff, SSD, smartphone, etc. No problems and fast, including free shipping to Bali. Only one “issue” for some – the website is mainly in Indonesian. [B]Tokopedia[/B] (very good, so far). My wife uses it a lot and she managed to get me a 3 year-old flagship smartphone (ex-display model, hardly used at all, perfect condition), for 1.3 Juta (originally sold for 10+ Juta. I call that a bargain. I think my wife’s a bit jealous now since my “new” phone is better than a discontinued flagship model I bought her five years ago, (which is still going great). [I]But[/I], I had to walk up and down Jl Teuku Umar, (Denpasar's “handphone street”), before I found a brand new one. And, wait for it,[B] e-Bay[/B]. I ordered a brand new computer tablet from Texas, USA. A replacement for the tablet I had with a broken screen. ASUS service centre in Bali wanted to charge me 2 Juta just for the screen. The whole tablet from Texas, USA, cost me 1.8 Juta deliverd to Sanur, and I could track it. I’ve also bought various other items, (a ruby gemstone, Carolina Reaper chilli seeds, etc), and everything actually arrived. I believe that it’s possible to ship stuff from Amazon to Indonesia but I think the actual process is a bit convoluted. [I]Happy shopping.[/I] ;)

I've only bought small items through them and they were shipped for free. Haven't tried to buy a refrigerator, yet.

Was this using the Indonesian ebay? Many international sellers on other ebay sites will not shop to Indonesia.

No, the "normal" one. Some international sellers ship to here, and some don't. I often connect to the internet via a VPN. That way I can appear to be in whatever other country I want. I didn't use that for the purchases I made.
