Hi guys glad to join you! Need your help about KITAS keluarga to KITAP

Hi guys, could you pls help me, cause I’m sort of confused about transformation KITAS keluarga to KITAP. When I was in General Immigration Office of Jakarta three years ago I was told that after 2 years I can make KITAP. But over here in Kalimantan Selatan Immigration two years ago they told me I can make KITAP only after 5 times of extension KITAS.. So who is right? What Indonesian law says about it? I already called many times in Jakata office but nobody picks up the phone and nobody answers my emails as well. And how much does it cost to make this KITAP?

It's two years. Five years was the old regulation. The price for KITAP and compulsory multi-entry permit should be around 4 million, if of course you do it yourself.

Different info from one office to another ,seems usual ,half the time they don't even know,,,try a search on this site as there is a lot of info ,re visas ,and some of the established users really know what they are talking about,and don't be put off ,,and some are willing to help,, Good luck.. if you have been married for two years you can convert to kitap,but be careful trying to tell imigrasi their job
