Hello there,The PT that is sponsoring me has started the process in mid-December. I am still waiting for the VBS (Telex visa). The agent told us that everything has been approved in Jakarta but getting the VBS takes now more time due to new government policy.Did anyone of you had the same experience recently ? Or in general how much time does it take to get a Telex visa ?

Hi Zivva...the sad truth is: nobody knows for sure. All depends how good / bad the agent is. In my case it took me approx. 3 months with a PMA on top. But that's a couple of years ago...good luck!

A friend of mine is suffering the same thing. I met him 6 months ago as he was coming back from SNG after making the initial application for his employer sponsored Kitas. He has been told in the mean time that "the regulations have changed" and his erstwhile employer no longer understands the process. The immi have also been looking for him at his place of work. I find myself in the singular position of having no fecking idea what to advise you other than to feck off to some other land that is interested in having a multicultural society with people contributing from all over the world. Indonesia isn't that place ... any more?It would appear that the officials have determined that the tail can in fact wag the dog and are making their own rules to suit the time of the month (bit menstrual isn't it?) and the amount of money they need. To add to the fun I have also just heard that anyone after a "normal" Kitas must now prove they own a life insurance. Bare in mind that the benefactors under any life insurance have absofeckinglutely nothing to do with the Indo immi or government but "happy days" it must be Wednesday there's a new reg out...Time to start packing I reckon :grumpy:
