An Australian man could face assault charges in Bali after CCTV emerged of an alleged altercation with a store employee.
The footage shows the man appearing to lock his hands about the employee's neck in a Circle K mini-mart in Kuta.
The pair appear to tussle out of frame before lurching back in, slamming into shelves.
Authorities identified the arrested man as Queenslander James Nathan.
He remains in custody at Kuta police station.
Kuta Police Commissioner Nyoman Wirajaya alleged Mr Nathan had bought something from the store before grabbing the shopkeeper's neck.
