Funny you ask Bert. Two of my children felt it at school and said that the whole school went into a panic. Two others didn't feel it at all. My wife and I didn't feel it at home which is only a few hundred yards from school, and we didn't notice anything unusual with the animals. We did pick up a crack in the shower floor somewhere however. Was there something in the news? I've been busy with school work and all the Independence Day activities here.

Yes I saw some news items in various electronic newspapers, there are some on our news section....Ah Independence day, red and white everywhere, even the shops have red and white clothes on display...

i read the quake in sumbawa was only a 5.3 so there shouldn't have been any substantial damage, unless it was a long quake with tremors for several minutes. ..on another notice, there was a big 7.2 quake of the coast of honshu, japan a few hours ago.
