Am now out of the country, but last week just prior to leaving Bali received a message on my phone from T-Mobile in English. Being used to receiving the same from Indosat every day in Bahasa was rather surprised and wonder if anyone knows if there has been a recent merger or acquisition between them?
If this has happened perhaps it would permit an interchange between either providers and the possibility of now using our sim cards out of Indonesia?
Would appreciate any information as this couldn't have been just myself that has had this experience.

im not sure if they have merged,i think it all depends on what plan you have with tmobile,i have 2 phones, because im above 55 yrs i get both lines unlimited everything for $60 per month,,thats $30 each phone,i also had 10 gb of hot spot per phone, anywhere in the world, the texting and data is unlimited anywhere in the world also, but calls are not included, i had to connect to an Indo carrier to have my unlimited data and text,,but the only one it would connect to was probably the worst carrier in the country,i think it was called smart fren or something like that,,indosat showed up in the list of available networks available but it just wouldnt connect,so im hoping you are correct that they have made some type of agreement with indosat,as for the 10 gb of free hotspot on each phone it was a complete waste of time,,,,
